The Red Lion

Established in 1640, and rumoured to be older than the village church, the Red Lion is the perfect traditional Somerset inn. Family run by John and Dawn Ayers for around seven years, it welcomes you into a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

The Red Lion prides itself on its local customers and regular visitors, which has developed it into an integral part of the quiet country village of Draycott. John and Dawn are committed to the Inn, ensuring they maintain their high standards whilst keeping prices realistic.

The Red Lion is a family-friendly establishment and can cater for most needs. The Inn includes two main areas, which have been designated between eating and drinking. The eating area can cater for up to 28 covers at any one time and has a strict no-smoking environment. The bar area is typical of a great English pub with comfortable seating and nice big tables, pub games, darts and a wonderful size TV for Sports.

Outside a great beer garden extends up the side of the hill to reveal wonderful views of Somerset. A wall separates the outside area from the car park to make life easier for parents.

The Red Lion also has a recently refurbished sports bar with a pool table, skittle alley and a large television showing Sports. This bar can also be used as a function room. For more information on booking the function room, please give John and Dawn a ring on 01934 743786 to discuss your requirements.
